Canon pages

Hey there, just because something has a Legends name/or is notable within Legends, does not by defualt make it notable in canon and eligible for a canon page. Taking Unidentified sandtrooper squadron for example, just because Legends identified it, doesn't mean it is the same in canon. - Please take this on board, there is absoutely nothing notable Unidentified EG-6 power droid (Tatooine)/Canon, just because it might be in Legends, doesn't make it in canon too. Lewisr (talk) 20:56, 15 December 2022 (UTC)

Seemed to work that time, and you can also just use the ~~~~ if the button isn't working. While I'm at it - please note that you only need to define a reference once in an article, and it can be reused later in the article like this. JediMasterMacaroni^(Talk) 02:29, 23 December 2022 (UTC)

Creating canon pages for Legends counterparts

Hi, when creating canon pages, if they have Legends counterparts, please take the time to go through the sources and appearances for the Legends articles, and either verify the sources or appearances that are both continuities, or check with other users. Specifically, this is talking about Unidentified Stormtrooper Commander (Tantive IV). The Legends counterpart, Unidentified stormtrooper commander (Tantive IV), has a listed source of the original StarWars.com Encyclopedia, which I had added when it was online. In this case, the article will be most likely deleted, as it appears to be TK-9091, although I can't directly verify that canon story, but still for future reference. Thanks. 88th Flight

'The markings, per BTS in the Legends version' is what you said, and none of the bts cites a TCW episode. So what exactly are you reading that cites a TCW episode? You should never base what you add off what another page says because there is always the chance it is wrong unless you are actually sure it is correct Lewisr (talk) 21:47, 4 January 2023 (UTC)

- That's not a good way to base something off, the episodes don't name the units, and canon apparently hasn't identified the markings as specifically being that unit Lewisr (talk) 21:58, 4 January 2023 (UTC)

Infobox "Affiliations" field

Please be aware that per the Layout Guide: "The "Affiliations" field of infoboxes shall list sub-bullets to a maximum depth of one (example: *Galactic Empire **Stormtrooper Corps). This is done for aesthetic reasons with regard to article presentation in the Fandom skin." Given that the Death Star's shield generator garrison is a sub-organisation of the unidentified Imperial legion, an infobox like this one should only list the Galactic Empire and the Death Star's shield generator garrison.
