Welcome, Eledhwen!Hello and welcome to Wookieepedia. I hope you like the place and choose to join our work. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
Wookieepedia aspires to be a reliable source for all Star Wars fans to read and draw information from, and as such, fan-created continuity and fan fiction are not allowed within our articles. All in-universe material must be attributable to a reliable, published source. Do not remove talk page and forum comments, including your own, as they are part of the public record. Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~. For an optimal viewing experience, Wookieepedia recommends using the Monobook skin. For help changing your skin preference, see Help:Skin. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the Senate Hall, visit our official IRC channel, or ask me on my talk page. May the Force be with you! —SFH 15:44, February 28, 2011 (UTC) |
Re:Pictures
- There's no edit number. Your account will be able to upload images a few days after you start editing with it, so if you're still having problems in a couple days, contact me. :) Atarumaster88

- Yes, we have disambiguation pages. You would create a page at "PAGENAME (disambiguation)", disambiguate it, and then create PAGENAME (planet) and PAGENAME (person). The actual PAGENAME article would depend on which one was more prominent. For example, our Death Star article points to the first Death Star while Death Star (disambiguation) serves to disambiguate the term. Atarumaster88

- The redirect code is #REDIRECT PAGENAME so #REDIRECT [[Form IV: Ataru]] would redirect a page to Form IV: Ataru. Atarumaster88

Removing content
It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from 3032 BBY. Please be careful not to remove content from Wookieepedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Thank you. Re: 3,032 BBY
Source for your statement? Imperators II(Talk) 19:26, May 14, 2011 (UTC)
- In The Power of the Jedi Sourcebook, it says that Ermin "visited" (and not discovered) the Oracle "some 3000 years before the rise of the empire" (p.147).
- OK. A few notes, though:
- "Rise of the Empire" in this case refers to 19 BBY (the Declaration of a New Order), since it would be highly unlikely the real-world Rise of the Empire era would be mentioned in in-universe context.
- If you think a page should be deleted, never remove content (which is considered vandalism), but instead add the {{Delete}} tag at the top of the article and note the reason on its talk page.
- Please always sign your comments with four tildes, like this: ~~~~.
- And thanks for the info. Imperators II(Talk) 19:43, May 14, 2011 (UTC)
- OK. A few notes, though:
Krin Koda
Hey Eledhwen, in the article Krin Koda, is that sentence that you put in quotes something that an individual says, or something that the narrative of the book says? If it's the latter, it shouldn't be the leading quote, because quotes in articles should be something said by a particular individual. Thanks!—Axinal Convocation Chamber 21:10, May 14, 2011 (UTC)
- Cool, thanks!—Axinal Convocation Chamber 00:53, May 15, 2011 (UTC)
Signing your comments
Hey Eledhwen, please remember to sign your comments, as I noted to you in the above comment. Thanks! Imperators II(Talk) 22:14, May 14, 2011 (UTC)
Edit history
Hey Eledhwen. If you check the article's edit history (the panel beside "Article", "Discussion" and "Leave message" at the top of the page), you'll see who has done what to the article and why. Cheers! Imperators II(Talk) 23:04, May 14, 2011 (UTC)
File names
Hi there, when uploading files in future please try to refrain from adding extraneous and, in some cases, potentially buggy characters to the filenames; typically commas (,) and additional periods (.) other than the one before the file extension. Something like "Scitrok Warriors (Galaxy Guide 8, p.85).JPG" could be more simply put as "ScitrokWarriors-GG8.jpg", the additional source info can go in the source field of the file info box (which you have done) so doesn't need to be put in the filename. I've tagged the images you have uploaded with {{FTBR}} for you. This isn't a warning or anything so don't worry, just some advice to help reduce technical problems in the future. Cheers, NAYAYEN 16:25, May 15, 2011 (UTC)
Re:Sources
- If you ask me, it'd clutter up the layout to have all these page numbers by our Sources sections. The other thing is that there are different editions, printings, etc. of sources and so the page numbers aren't categorically the same. Some people have put precise page numbers in their references—it's not required but AFAIK not forbidden either. Atarumaster88
