Images

If a picture is already on the site then there is no need to upload it again. -- I need a name (Complain here) 14:16, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

• As you have already been told, if the image exists on this site then there is no reason to re-upload it. Also, when uploading images, kindly try not to replace other people's images. If it comes up with an error informing you that will happen, then simply rename the file. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 23:09, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

      • Darth Plagueis The Wise, I am disappointed in you. I was just saying in the IRC channel last night how you'd been unblocked for 3 days and hadn't uploaded a single duplicate image since, then you go and upload File:Z Sith.jpg.         • Ignore my warning if it's not off this site, my apologies. Are you using AOL by any chance? If so, it might be a good idea to turn off image compression by going into "Settings" -> "Internet (Web Browser) Settings" and then selecting either "Never compress graphics" or "Compress graphics only when I do not have a broadband connection to AOL" from under the "Web Graphics" heading. You should see a noticeable difference in image quality. Also, if it's off Google Images, there should probably be a bigger version of it if you click the image and then click "See full-size image". -- I need a name (Complain here) 15:49, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
        • You may want to take a look at our User image policy. Every Wookieepedian is allowed to upload a maximum of 3 images that are intended solely to be displayed on their user pages. You appear to have exceeded that limit. Please choose three images and mark the rest with the {{delete}} template. Thanx, Sentry^Talk 21:13, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

Gallery instead of Thumbs?

Hey, I notice you have alot of images on your page, and the layout is all over the place. I recommend just using the gallery tags, instead of individual images. Here's what your "Favorite Sith" section looks like using Gallery instead:

• I also recommend checking to see if an image is already uploaded before uploading a new one. You could have easily seen that Korriban image, for example, just by checking out the Korriban article. Sentinent

Hi there. Please check your spelling before creating new articles. I have changed the article sentinent, which you created, and it is now a redirect to Sentient, the proper spelling of the word. It's generally a good idea to type your entry in Microsoft Word or another word processor with a spell checker, or use a browser such as Firefox 2 which spell checks all text boxes automatically.
