Preview

Hi! Quick tip: When editing, please learn to use and love the "Preview" feature (or button, if you use the Monobook skin). That will prevent your edits from cluttering both the article's edit history and the Recent changes, as well ease the other editors' task of reviewing your work. Cheers, Imperators II(Talk) 14:30, July 21, 2016 (UTC)

  • Hey! Yeah, sorry about that. I do use that, but then after I hit save I re-read it again a couple more times and think of more things to change. My apologies, and I'll definitely work on not spamming the save button in the future! DarthAnt66 (talk) 06:23, August 13, 2016 (UTC)

Warning

Please do not continue to revert my reversions and remove my {{Inuse}} tag. I am in the process of updating the article, and your contributions, while I appreciate your enthusiasm, are neither encyclopedic nor impartial, and thus are unnecessary. Continuing to revert may result in a block. Cade GalacticRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 23:53, September 2, 2016 (UTC)

Can you point me where the content was "neither encyclopedic or impartial"? Also, I would like to speak to the head administrators concerning this, because the revision you are pushing for is drastically lacking in content. Unless you point out specific reasons why my edit does not fit community guidelines, I'm inclined to believe my contributions are perfectly legitimate. --DarthAnt66

  • Firstly, I am an administrator, and secondly, I was called back to the site to deal with your changes to the article, which was one of the reasons that the FAN failed for Revan. Cade GalacticRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 00:09, September 3, 2016 (UTC)

Then who oversees the administrators of the site? There has to be some appeal process I can go through. Also, again, please point specifically to issues you have to it. Otherwise, I'm inclined to believe you're simply deleting all my content without a fair assessment of the material covered. I'm honestly fine with you changing back the initial biography section, but the powers and abilities edits were extensive with citations literally every sentence.

EDIT (11:55 PM ET): The biography section wasn't a drastic change to what you originally had. I added only two paragraphs: one covering the Mandalorian Wars, and the other discussing the Jedi Civil Wars. Your original version had little information concerning the Mandalorian Wars, despite it being crucial to Revan's character. In fact, you had more information on his escape from Taris than his gradual progress to the dark side as he sacrificed his morals for victory. The Jedi Civil War section was just a brief description of what actually went down. Worlds allied themselves with Revan due to his contributions in the Mandalorian Wars. That fact is certainly relevant to Revan's character. Also, your biography failed to mention that Revan's reason for going to war was uniting the galaxy against the common threat Vitiate posed. That was originally established in KotOR II, but then once again reinstated for updated material in the Old Republic Encyclopedia. I can provide a page number and quote if needed. And in regards to the Powers and Abilities section, your original analysis, while good, isn't as detailed as my own. And the claim that it was biased toward Revan simply isn't true either when I made note of his failure to defeat the coalition strike teams and Vitiate. I made specific note his power was unable to handle Vitiate's lightning. The Combat Abilities section in particular is much better off with my multi-paragraph analysis, all with proper citation. If you believe any of my claims are inaccurate, please point specifically to them and I will provide you with a direct quote and / or page number, source, screenshot, etc. Everything stated in the thread is canonical. While I appreciate all the work you did on the Revan blog, I think you should be more open to other people contributing on it, and at the very least not do something as insulting as deleting all their work with your reasoning in the history being "Mmmm... no." That's extremely offensive to the effort I put in to ensure that all my content is up to standards with your own. I would be extremely grateful if you could respond to me again and so we could discuss the issues with the blog. As it stands, I'm not convinced you even read what I wrote. I'm under the impression you simply removed it because you got notified about it. So please, explain to me what's going and and provide me with a course of action so I can appeal my work or have it preserved. I am interested and ready to work with you on this. --DarthAnt66

Vitiate

You expanded more the introduction. The article is a featured article considered one of the best on the wiki, and expanding the introduction is not the best way to improve it. Plus there's a note there of not adding Ragnos as a Master which you ignored.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 01:42, January 10, 2018 (UTC)

I did not ignore adding Ragnos as a Master - I did not see it, my apologies. I will remove it. That being said, the introduction was outdated and did not reflect the statements Hall Hood wrote on swtor.com concerning the character of Vitiate. The article had little description of the Eternal Empire and excessive description concerning less-relevant topics like the Children of the Emperor. The article is expanded, but I made sure not to expand it by much - and it is naturally expanded due to the fact content was lacking the last time. Please give it a read, I think you will find it better than the previous version. -- DarthAnt66

"Darth Vitiate"

Would you care to say on which page of the TOR encyclopedia Vitiate is called "Darth Vitiate"? --Potsk (talk) 07:35, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
