Birth/death dates
I don't know if you remember from Mara's talk page, but I had brought up the weird number next to the character's date-of-death and had confused it for age, rather than an alternate measurement of years like you pointed out. I finally figured out the number in parenthesis represents the year after the Great Resynchronization. I know you're not the authority on this, but I just felt I'd ask, why do we limit the templates to the Great Resynchronization and not other periods such as the Ruusan Reformation? Or rather, why do we mention it in the first place? // ~mikah~ 01:37, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
- Makes sense, I suppose. Thanks for the quick response. I really appreciate it. :3 // ~mikah~ 01:45, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Hey. I'm really sorry, but I haven't got a ton of work on it in the past few weeks. If you can wait a few days, I'll try to get it by this weekend, but I amy be pretty busy this week. Lando Calrissian edit
The source is the game itself. You see, I discovered over 30 cheats, based on the secret Holocrons in the game, tested and all. I was thinking of adding a page. The list is missing a few, but with the help of other wookieepedians, maybe it will be completed. What do you think?
And should I add the game as a source, to back-up my edit?--Seth danny 18:35, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
- You're welcome. I've already put that in his non-canon appearances list. I will add the sources too. As for the cheats, I will make a visit to the gamers wiki after I'm done. :)--Seth danny 19:05, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
- Well, the list is ready, with a total of 41 cheats. I've added them on the TFU page of the SW Games Wiki. If you're interested, sneak a peek. ;-)--Seth danny 22:18, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
- With pleasure and thank you too. I'm glad you liked it. If I find any more, I'll gladly add them. And thanks for clearing up things. :D--Seth danny 01:04, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Hey.
Hi, Ataru. I have a favor to ask of you. I know I haven't been on this site in a long time, but my mom was in an accident and I'm taking care of her. Would you please inform Goodwood, Darthchristian, and Drewton that I'm OK and will be back on regularly within the month? Thanks, and please keep me in your prayers.--Jedi Kasra (talk) 17:05, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

I hope that it is alright with you, but I borrowed your templates for the seven forms of lightsaber combat and modified them. Let me know what you think please. Deleting the account
Hi Atarumaster88, since you are one of the administrators I presume, I would like to know how one can delete the Wookiepedia account which was created. I haven't been able to find any link allowing me to the same.

The Wraiths
[[:File:EU BW Honeycomb.png|thumb|250px|I, Greyman, hereby award Atarumaster88 the EU Vigo Award for all of his hard work on articles originating from the Wraith Squadron stories.]] Hey, Ataru. I'm sure you'll see it before you read this, but Wraith Squadron is now an FA :) Congrats! I know that, unfortunately, it's been more than a few months in the making on the FAN page, but Cull was nice enough to read the article, review it, and vote for it :) Anyways, I know how hard you worked to get that article to the state that it's currently in, so here's a little award for your hard work on this article, and other Wraith-related articles, which were...well...awful before you decided to rewrite and expand them. So again, congrats, and once I get Ulic out of the way in a few weeks, you and I can finish our work on Lando…and then again tackle that beast Project:Wormheard :S Cheers, Greyman(Talk) 12:53, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
What's up with my IRC?
I'm not suggesting you had something to do with this, but I have been banned - without any warning or stated reason - from the Wookieepedia IRC. I'm notifying you to see if something can't be done to find out what happened and if it can be reversed. Please see if you or another admin can address this as soon as possible. I will be notifying other admins of this development as well. Erik Pflueger 22:27, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

Just wanted to say nice work on your FA tutorial. It's nice to see that section getting expanded, as well as seeing the techniques different users have. I like your idea of reading it backwards! --Eyrezer 18:59, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
Form VII article
Hello, I'm sure you're probably aware of the situation with User:Cjh37 on the Form VII article. He has repeatedly added speculation and OR to the article, and even after being reverted and told that OR and speculation weren't allowed, he continued adding it to the article. He even went so far as to falsely claim that Fightsaber and ROTS identify Palpatine as a Juyo practitioner, even though they don't. He's been told on the article talk page that no canon source has identified Palpatine's style, and that his speculation and assumptions can't be listed, but he refuses to accept that Palpatine can't be listed. It seems that nothing I say will settle this situation. Maybe you can do something? Maybe the words of an Admin will convince him to drop the issue. Gray Jedi 00:01, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
Battlefront II
Would putting:
Commando Pistol:
- Damage: Medium
- Range: Long
- Fire Rate: Medium
- Ammo: Unlimited
- Accuracy: High
Would that be game mechanics, because on the Battlefront II page, I put that stuff for the weapons and it was deleted, but for the starfighters there was a
Bomber: Speed: Low / Armor: High / Power: High / Maneuverability: Low
and that was kept there and not deleted.
It was deleted by LtNOWIS, and I'm not sure if he was mistaken on deleting it or if he did the right thing. Some help on this confusion of mine would be appreciated.

It wasn't just the bomber stuff, the transport, fighter, interceptor, heavy vehicle, etc. was also still there.

"Speculation"
It's not speculation, it's a simple connection between two canonical characters in similar positions released in materials that came out within a short time of each other. Are The Clone Wars movie and The Force Unleashed not "legitimate reference"s? And if not in the Behind the Scenes section, then where should it be mentioned? -Milo Fett[Comlink] 00:08, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
Diatum/Diatium power cell?
I have found two articles highly similar in name and sharing the same sources/appearnaces: diatum power cell and diatium power cell. Yet the info in each are highly different. If this really is a double article, I am assuming the latter to be the correct term, because it says on the image and the {{Lightsaber}} template. I suggest a merge. Protection of Forum:NB: An appeal to the administration
Slightly disgruntled over your protection of this forum, Protection is to prevent vandalism is it not? not simply to prevent "normal" users from having a say on forum pages. I understand that it was posted on the Admin NB, nonetheless it would be appreciated it was unprotected in case any users other then administrators wish to make a comment, cheers — RC-1136 Hate Mail Here 16:59, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
- I strongly disagree, Page protection is about preventing vandalism, not simply to prevent users from having their say in a matter that concerns the community, and that is effectively you are doing. However per Wookieepedia:Administrative autonomy I relise that regardless of where I stand on this matter it would be impossible for me to make you to change it, I also relise that badgering on at you is not going to be constructive, I voice my concern over the protection of the page, you clear stated that you stood by the protection, as far as I can see that is the end of the story, cheers — RC-1136 Hate Mail Here 10:06, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

Re: Mandalore
Thanks, Ataru, for the review :)
- Contextify Krath on first mention in body.
- Done and done.
- You talk about Qel-Droma wishing to escalate his war, but you don't say what war that was.
- Added.
- I'd also rename the section marked "Mandalorian armor" to something a little more specific.
- I hear ya, altered the title to be relevant to the section.
- "Mandalore the Indomitable was an intimidating figure in his own right" I'd say this is a little POVish.
- Reworded.
- "he used his skills as a warrior and his natural skills" Some awkward wording here.
- Reworded.
- "As a leader, Mandalore had no equal and he was able to inspire his vast army to do his bidding." Definitely POV.
- Hehe...but that's what the Campaign Guide says :P Reworded :)

Deleated Artical
Pretender Apparently it was deleated because it had no 'canonical significance', id like to know why when aritcals like for example Lift-tube music exists or Yerk, Pretender has been mentioned severel times over the era's and it has a meaning and there for has more canocical signifcance that lift music which is 2 lines long. As it said in the artical it was used when there was a claim to a throne and someone already had it or it was an abloshed title, I gave sources etc, you could have given more reason, and or a better reason, i know as i have created/edited few articals on my time on this site i dont vandalise and unlike you i have 'a life' but it was a ligitement aritcal with meaning and the reason for deleation was bollox because as i have said check some of your other aticals if you think it has no canonical significance. q about the jedi code
I am in a bit of a unique dilemma. I am writing my jr. thesis on stoicism and Star Wars and I need to talk about the Jedi Code. Featured Status
Hey I was just looking at my user page (which I hadn't done in quite some time as I haven't logged on in a while) when I noticed that my userbox on helping promote Corran to featured status was gone. So I looked in my page's history and noticed that during my abscence it had been removed, with the comment that I had been warned before against this. But the fact is that I had been warned before the article had become 'featured' as I had already put up the user box. An admin took it down saying that not only was it not yet a featured article but that I had not contributed enough to merit the box. And so I kept the box off until it was promoted and worked hard to improve the article with many minor edits, and a few larger ones. And so I replaced the box only to have it removed again, so I was just wondering how much is required to merit that userbox because personally I felt as though I earned it.

Force Speed GAN
Hey Atarumaster88, thanks for your suggestions on the article :-). I'm working on a Users section now using your two lightsaber form articles as a guide as you suggested, its just a start and I'm going to add and expand the section more of course, but is this close to what you mean?
On removing the "Knight" and "Master" speed sections, they are described in the Revised Core Rulebook, so I wasn't sure if we considered them game mechanics since we use the rpg books for alot of info in our articles.
As for the many Jedi observerd to be moving quite fast while dueling, I wasn't sure of this because the same is said of many skilled fighters who do not use the Force, saying they moved "incredibly fast" and similar descriptions, also Jedi can anticipate an opponents movements in combat and so can appear faster due to knowing from where the next attack will come, so I thought unless it was stated as a result of Force use I wouldn't mention it. What do you think? Thanks for your suggestions so far and any further help would be greatly appreciated since this is my first GAN :-). Grunny (Talk) 13:34, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
- How about if I moved the Knight and Master Speed into the BTS? I'll expand my search for "Force-heightened reflexes", thanks that should be included :). why r u redirecting my Rukil Wrinkle-Skin article? Rukil Wrinkle-Skin is a nick name for him as Oafy-Wan is a nickname for Obi-Wan Kenobi. LordDeathRay 20:30, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
Oafy-Wan is Obi Wan Kenobi's nickname. why aren't you redirecting that? LordDeathRay 20:33, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

Nym
Hey Ataru, I see you've got Nym inuse, and just thought I'd point out that the refs in the infobox don't currently have the Ref template, if you could add it that'd be great. Thanks - Kingpin13Cantina Battle Ground 17:28, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

Thank you very much. That reminds me I need to finish his article. Also, sorry I haven't been making much progress with Nym. I'd intended to work on him during the weekend but have been ill. Hey, dude. Ya, to my surprise I was actually able to navigate past my email (which you know has been problematic when I'm back in the base :P), so I thought that I would see what's up. Sorry I haven't been much help with Lando since we first nom'd it -- were you able to download the radio dramas from my site and get the stuff from that you were looking for? I hope so. Anyways, I've got some good news, but we'll catch up via email soon :) Take care, Greyman(Talk) 16:19, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Lando ESB radio
Ok, while there is a large discrepancy in the overall dialogue between film and radio drama, that can pretty much be looked as "overriden by film material," so we'll disregard that. There are, however, six scenes by my count that contain what I consider to be new information. Usually, this is a continuation of a scene identical to the film, where the film would otherwise cut off. They are listed below:
Dining room
After Lando first betrays Han and Leia to Vader in the Cloud City dining room ("I had no choice, they arrived right before you did. I'm sorry.), there is extended dialogue after the door closes in which Han threatens to physically attack Vader, with Chewie's help. Vader warns Han that he needs to keep him alive, but he won't hesitate to kill the Wookiee should they attack him. Lando warns Han to have some sense, that he's thinking of attacking the Dark Lord, which no one would survive. Eventually, Han relents, rather than doing something that would kill Chewie.
Talk with Fett outside torture room
While Han is being tortured on the scan grid, there is an extension of the scene in the film that just shows Lando and Fett glaring at each other while they overhear Han's screaming. Before this film shot begins, Lando gives Fett a good dressing-down about being a scum bag, etc., and Lando warns Fett that he'll eventually get his revenge on the bounty hunter, and that his face will be the last thing he ever sees.
Vader's elevator scene
At the end of that same scene, after Vader warns Lando that he would hate to leave a garrison behind on Cloud City, after Lando walks away muttering about the deal getting worse all the time, he converses briefly with Lobot, telling him to be ready to act at a moment's notice - already preparing to turn the tables on Vader.
First carbon-freezing chamber scene
In the scene in which Vader is touring the carbon-freezing chamber ("This facility is crude, but it should be adequate to freeze Skywalker..."), after Vader announces that they will test the chamber on Solo, Lando begins to protest, and Vader quickly threatens him with Cloud City's destruction and his own execution if he doesn't cooperate. Then he orders Lando to immediately bring the prisoners into the chamber.
Carbon-freeze scene
During the next scene, in which we see Han, etc. on their "death march," if you will, into the carbon-freezing chamber, while that is happening, Lando requests from Vader to be able to leave so he doesn't have to watch Han's freezing, but Vader orders him to stand and watch to observe what happens to enemies of the Empire.
Final scene aboard medical frigate
At the very end, aboard the medical frigate Redemption, there's a brief exchange not included in the film that sort of serves to establish that Lando has made his peace with the group. They're waiting for the Millennium Falcon to be prepped for Lando and Chewbacca to begin searching for Han while Luke is waiting for 2-1B to give him his new hand. There really isn't any new info here, but there is new info in this scene in the radio drama script, which is published in The Empire Strikes Back: The National Public Radio Dramatization, which varies different from the RD at points and, like this scene, often contains unique information. In the script scene, Lando is concerned about how many people survived Cloud City's evacuation, and they discuss who will board the Falcon to begin the Solo search. That being said, it seems I'll need to go through the script as well to leave you any new information in there, but this should keep you busy for now. Lutrillian
Hey, Ataru. Can you point me to where I can find out why you've listed Lutrillian for FA removal? I'm hoping it's something relatively minor that can be fixed pretty quickly, since I'm also juggling Swokes Swokes and Squib (and having trouble tracking down obscure sources for those). Please let me know what I can do so that Lutrillian doesn't become another article for me to juggle. Thanks! ~ SavageBob 05:06, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
- OK, thanks for the pointer. I was a little worried there. I'm assuming the three appearances in question are "Incident at Horn Station" (only recently rendered canon by the new SW Encylopedia), "The Emperor's Court", maybe worth a mention in BTS, and Star Wars 43 from Marvel. This last one, I must confess, I'm not sure what to do with. There's a Lutrillian that walks by on Bespin, and that's it. We already know that Bespin has a sizeable Lutrillian population from the Wizards web supplements, so there's not much more that can be said. How would you recommend this appearance be added to the article's prose? ~ SavageBob 03:54, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Opinion
Hey Ataru :), I was just wondering if I could get your opinion as an Inquisitor. Now that I've got Force Speed up to GA, do you think it would be a feasible FA nom? I would need an expanded intro I imagine, but other than that what do you think? Thanks :-). Grunny (Talk) 04:57, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
- Ok cheers Ataru, I think I'll work on it slowly, adding every little bit of information so it may one day be up to it. I think my first FA attempt might be Darth Azard after it goes through the GA process, It might be easier :-). Thanks Ataru. Grunny (Talk) 01:47, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
Swokes Swokes & Lutrillian
Hello again! I believe that your objection to the Swokes Swokes FAN, regarding unused sources and apparances, has been addresed. Would you mind taking another look?
Also, I think that Lutrillian should be updated as requested by the Inquisitorius. How do I go about getting it approved to have the FA removal template taken down?
Thanks for your reviews, by the way. I'm still learning the ropes, and I didn't realize how important it was to check all references to be sure they don't tell us little tidbits of info that the usual suspect aggregrate sources don't. I'm trying to get better, I swear. :) ~ SavageBob 00:18, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

- It is perfectly allright, do whatever is needed to improve that article. I am working on a number of other Wookieepedian projects including sourcing articles and writing the Ssi-ruuvi Imperium page. So far, I have worked on a number of other articles including the Battle of Kashyyyk (Second Imperium Crisis), the Second Imperium Crisis, the Battle of the Jedi Praxeum (Second Imperium Crisis), the Ssi-ruuvi invasions. Please have a read of these articles and tell me what you think about them. I have to admit that I am far too detailed in writing articles. Even at school, teachers say that my essays are far too long and too detailed. Thanks for being my friend. Andykatib 7:11, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

Double-linking
- About your objections to the Karazak Slaver's Cooperative article
- Just to be sure: About the double-linking, you mean only one footnote when used in boxes? So I should change:
- Notable members: Krassis Trelix[1] [2]
- Eras: New Republic era[2][3]
- using any single reference that I might find adequate.
- I cannot use a single footnote saying "Galaxy Guide 11: Criminal Organizations and Hutt and Seek", grouping the two footnotes I was using for Trelix.
- Double-reference is allowed in a paragraph.
- I don't see image captions with footnotes in other articles. Maybe I got it wrong and "double-linking" has nothing to do with footnotes?
- Thank you for your time, --Skippy Farlstendoiro 08:53, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

UberPWN
Hey Ataru :), just randomly looking through stuff and I found some sources we missed were the two visual guides for Episodes II and III; the Episode II Visual Guide was actually the first mention of the form. Both contain previously stated info so we can just reference them in, though I wanted your input on doing that since it involves info that starts with "according to Cin Drallig" and I didn't want to disrupt the flow of the article. Borsk Fey'lya just added a Fact File source to the Form VII article as well and I don't have access to that so I can't check it out. Grunny (Talk) 12:47, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, in the Ep II guide only some of them are mentioned and often in passing, so the Fightsaber article was the first really descriptive source. In the EP II Visual Guide, in the "Jedi in Battle" section it says: "A Form VII instructor, Mace Windu is one of the best living fighters in the Jedi Order. Only high-level masters of multiple forms can achieve and control Form VII. This dangerous regimen cuts perilously close to the Sith focus on physical combat ability." Which is all information previously stated in the article. In the EP III Visual Guide, in the "Mace Windu" section it says: "Mace's lightsaber technique synthesizes deadly Form VII with a newly created form known as vaapad. A Force-user who practices this form may skirt close to the dark side." So once again nothing new :). Thanks Ataru :-). Grunny (Talk) 00:38, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
Form VII: Juyo / Vaapad
Hey, Ataru, how's everything going? Anyway, just wanted to let you know that according to the book Threats of the Galaxy, Darth Bane is a Juyo practitioner. Also, the BTS states "Also, the 2009 novel Coruscant Nights III: Patterns of Force, revealed that Jedi Knight Jax Pavan had knowledge of Juyo,[18] which somewhat contradicts information in Jedi vs. Sith: The Essential Guide to the Force, where an in-universe narrator, Cin Drallig, says that study of the seventh form should be restricted only to high-level masters.[1] An official explanation on the matter from Lucasfilm Ltd. has not been provided." It's possible that Mace Windu gave permission to Pavan to learn Form VII, since Windu states in the Essential Guide to the Force, that no Jedi can learn Form VII without his permission. Also, Order 66: Destroy All Jedi states that Cin Drallig knew Forms I-VI, not VII.--Jedi Kasra (talk) 16:14, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
- No problem.--Jedi Kasra (talk) 23:43, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
Also, I found a blog by Drew Karpyshyn that you might want to put in as a reference for the article.--Jedi Kasra (talk) 16:03, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

Need Help Finding a Book
I am planning to do some drawings on CATIA (computer drawings) but I cannot find a book that has all the schematics and dimensions of all the fighters and star ships. Basically I would like to get the length, angle of every part.
Jar'Kai
I added two sources to the Jar'Kai article; specifically, I sourced the claim that the Dark Underlord used it, and added a source for it being derived from Form VI Niman. I also searched for sources that Xendor used it, since that is in the article but unsourced. I came up with two sources, but I am not sure if they qualify since they are indirect and neither outright state that he used it. I mentioned them in the Talk Page for Jar'Kai, and I figured you might want to take a look. Crash Override 20px 08:05, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

- Yeah, I've got a long list of Lando references I'm almost done with, so hopefully I can get that up by the end of the weekend for you. It's probably the same deal, tho - there is bound to be entries with Lando mentions that aren't listed in the index. Merging Shien with Form V: Shien / Djem So
I've incorporated elements of the Shien article into the Form V: Shien / Djem So article, and referenced sources for everything I added. I added a mention of the horizontal grip stance, referencing the Hero's Guide web supplement, and then under practitioners I added Ahsoka Tano, referencing the Clone Wars Campaign Guide, Adi Gallia, referencing Jedi Power Battles (in which she uses the horizontal grip), and Nikkos Tyris and the Jensaarai, referencing I, Jedi and I, Jensaarai, respectively. Since you had mentioned you don't want to lose the FA status for Form V, I thought you would want a heads up so you can look over it to make sure everything I added is kosher, so to speak. Perhaps a picture of either Ahsoka or Starkiller would be appropriate near the mention of the horizontal grip. I figured I would leave the decision of whether to put one in, and its placement, up to you. Barringer20px 00:45, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

Qey'tek/Quey'tek
The article is titled Qey'tek, and begins with "Qey'tek, often mistakenly called Quey'tek". However, of all the sources listed for the article, only one names it, and in that source (Labyrinth of Evil) it is spelled "Quey'tek". I checked every source: The Cestus Deception, Labyrinth of Evil, the ROTS novelization, the RPG core rulebook v.2, and I, Jensaarai.
In light of this, I tried to move it to Quey'tek and subsequently remove the "often mistakenly called Quey'tek" portion of the intro, but since Quey'tek already re-directs to Qey'tek, I am unable to do so, and it said to ask an administrator for help. Barringer20px 23:23, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
- I must have missed it in The Cestus Deception; I didn't notice it there. Barringer20px 02:01, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
- An unrelated question: the Lightsaber crystal article looks like it could use a rewrite, such as removing the lists and replacing them with a few paragraphs discussing the crystals similar to the list of lightsaber form practitioners, as well as improved sourcing and referencing. Is there a way I can create a temporary page on which to work on the rewrite without affecting the article, or should I tag it that it's being written, or is there some other protocol to follow? Barringer20px 01:40, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
- So it's okay if say I create a page at User:Barringer/crystal or something like that? I don't want to get blocked again... Also, when I do edits on it, should I mark them as minor edits so they don't clutter up the recent updates page? Barringer20px 02:14, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

Lando
Hmm. I owned none of those sourcebooks, and had to rely on them online to try and find info. And since Ctl+F didn't work for some reason, I had to go to through them manually, and evidently missed some stuff (I haven't looked at the objections yet). Sorry. I'll do what I can to help. Sorry I was lazy about it; looking through a dozen sourcebooks, each hundreds of pages, didn't really appeal to me. Not that that's a valid excuse, but anyway, I'll try to find text-searchable versions of the sourcebooks. Chack Jadson (Talk) 22:46, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
A Few Lightsaber Related Things
Lightsaber staff and Lightsaber pike articles should be merged, so should I go about doing that? In addition, in The Force Unleashed, Galen Marek refers to the lightsaber staff as a "saber-staff". Should the re-direct be changed into a disambiguation page that links to lightsaber staff and double-bladed lightsaber? Barringer20px 03:50, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
- Should I merge them onto lightsaber pike, since that is what it is called in the Force Unleashed Campaign Guide? Barringer20px 04:05, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry if I'm bothering you with the messages, lol, but I've also found that the Shadow Guard's weapon is called a "Lightsaber Lance" in the game itself. Initially I'd re-direct it to "Lightsaber Staff" simply because that seems the most inclusive term, but since it's identified as a speculative term in the article itself, I was leaning toward Lightsaber Pike since the TFU Campaign Guide uses it. But now I've found that the game uses "Lightsaber Lance", and the aforementioned novelization uses "Saber-staff". I'd still prefer to use "Lightsaber Staff" for its inclusivity, so I'll see if I can find it used in a canon source. Barringer20px 04:21, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
