- "That's why you're such a softie about the dragon? Because it can make you money?"
"What other possible value could any creature have?" - ―Han Solo and Nal Kenuun regarding Urgiluu
Urgiluu was the baby krayt dragon owned by the Muun Nal Kenuun on the planet Muunilinst. Kenuun's unusual devotion to the creature—at odds with his typically cold demeanor—was well known within his community, to the point that others laughed at him behind his back. Although his contemporaries believed he genuinely cared for the animal, Kenuun was in fact more interested in harvesting the valuable pearl forming inside its stomach for monetary gain.
In 0 ABY, Princess Leia Organa of the Rebel Alliance captured Urgiluu and threatened to harm her after Kenuun attempted to seize her companions Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, and X-7, an Imperial assassin secretly using the alias Tobin Elad. Fearing that damage to the pearl would reduce its value, Kenuun hastily agreed to Organa's demands and allowed the Rebels to depart Muunilinst.
Biography
- "Haven't you heard Everyone knows that Kenuun loves nothing in this galaxy except his baby krayt dragon. The whole planet's laughing about it behind his back. Of course, the last one foolish enough to laugh in front of him learned his lesson."
- ―Haari Ikreme Beeerd about Nal Kenuun
Princess Leia Organa, who threatened to harm Nal Kenuun's pet.
Urgiluu was a young krayt dragon owned by Nal Kenuun, a powerful and feared Muun residing on the planet Muunilinst. Known for his cold-hearted and cruel nature, Kenuun’s open affection toward the creature stood in stark contrast to his usual behavior. This contradiction became a source of amusement among his rivals, who mocked him privately. The ridicule eventually escalated to the point where Kenuun orchestrated the death of an individual—and the individual's entire family—for openly laughing in his presence about his fascination with the creature.[1]
In 0 ABY,[2] Rebel Alliance member Princess Leia Organa took Urgiluu hostage and threatened to harm her in order to force Kenuun to release her comrades Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, and X-7, an Imperial assassin operating under the alias Tobin Elad, whom Kenuun sought to capture for the bounty on their heads. Fearing that any injury to Urgiluu might damage the precious pearl inside her stomach would be compromised and reduce its monetary worth, Kenuun reluctantly agreed to Organa’s terms. He escorted the Rebels back to their ship, the Millennium Falcon, after which Urgiluu was released unharmed.[1]
