A thief operated on[1] the Core Worlds planet[2] Coruscant during the High Republic Era.[1] In 232 BBY,[3] the thief was involved in a high-speed chase with a private security firm in the skylanes of Coruscant. During their chase, a jet bike was sent careening out-of-control with it ultimately colliding with a hovercar, which killed the hovercar's pilot. The two passengers of the hovercarJedi Master Ash Masingani and Jedi youngling Cam Lindon—were both injured, with Lindon's larynx being destroyed after he fell several levels and landed on a landing platform, requiring a vocoder to be installed in his throat.[1] In 228 BBY,[3] Lindon—by then a Padawan—mentally recalled the thief's chase with the security firm, which had resulted in the collision that destroyed his larynx while traveling on the science ship Innovator.[1]

Behind the scenes

The thief was mentioned in the 2024 Audible Original The High Republic: Seeds of Starlight, written by George Mann as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[4]

I could not love the Phase III middle grade characters more & this was such a joy to work on alongside the team at Lucasfilm. 📗✨" (backup link)
