According to reports read by the Jedi Knight Indara[1] by around 160 BBY,[2] a long-forgotten sentient species was responsible for destroying the Wild Space homeworld of the Shani species, driving the Shani into the Outer Rim. Indara, however, had also read other reports about the Shani that conflicted with the reports that mentioned the long-forgotten species, resulting in there being no definitive truth about the Shani.[1] Around that year,[2] when Indara met a Shani—the bounty hunter Deva Lompop—for the first time, she mentally recalled reading the reports about the long-forgotten species' destruction of the Shani's homeworld.[1]
