"The statue. It's been here for millennia. And it confirms our theory! This system was once inhabited by a sentient race. And now we have the proof!"
―Sturm Umbrik's holorecording[1]

A sentient species once lived in the Outer Rim Territories' Arath system. Shara'Tam, a moon in the system, housed a statue that remained as proof of the species' existence millennia after it was created. The statue was discovered by the Jedi Sturm Umbrik, who had theorized that the species once existed and was excited to find evidence. Umbrik used an EX droid to call an associate, Janssen, to inform the individual that their theory was confirmed; however, the Jedi was subsequently killed in a pirate attack, and the EX droid was lost for centuries afterward.[1]

Behind the scenes

The species was mentioned in "Galactic Tales: Inheritance," an installment of the Galactic Tales series of short stories. The story was written by George Mann and was published in the Star Wars Insider magazine's 211th issue[1] on June 7, 2022.[2]
