The title of this article is conjectural.

Although this article is based on official information from the Star Wars Legends continuity, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

A rookie slicer was active by the time of the Cold War between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire.[1] By around 3643 BBY,[2] he was attempting to sabotage a droid manufacturing company. As a result of the slicer's actions, several units of one of the manufacturer's droid models, the R1-M8 service droid, began malfunctioning and attacking their owners.[1]

This section of the article assumes 100% game completion of Star Wars: The Old Republic. Any alternate stories may be noted in the "Behind the scenes" section. The events in this section may or may not have been confirmed as canon within the Star Wars Legends continuity.

Around that year, an individual associated with one of the two opposing factions of the Cold War sent a companion to learn the cause of the malfunctioning R1-M8 service droids. The companion traced the malfunction back to the slicer, who was arrested.[1]

Behind the scenes

The slicer was mentioned in the Crew Skill Mission "Domestic Dysfunction" in the 2011 video game Star Wars: The Old Republic, released by BioWare. The information regarding the mission's outcome was later removed from the game.[1]

  2. Per the reasoning here, Act I of Star Wars: The Old Republic takes place around 3643 BBY. Since players of The Old Republic can assign their companions on the mission "Domestic Dysfunction" independently of the main class storyline at any point during the game, the mission must take place at some point around 3643 BBY.
