A range trooper served in the Galactic Empire and was stationed at Sienar Test Facility 73 in 4 BBY.
Biography
An individual served as a range trooper under the Galactic Empire. In 4 BBY, they were stationed at Sienar Fleet Systems Test Facility 73[1] on the planet of the same numerical designation[2] alongside other several other range troopers and stormtroopers. During this time, the rebel operative Cassian Jeron Andor had infiltrated the facility to steal the prototype TIE Avenger, aided by a turncoat worker in the facility named Niya. While Andor successfully entered the starfighter, he struggled to fly the experimental ship due to its unconventional systems. The ensuing noise he created drew the attention of multiple stormtroopers, who, upon realizing the ship had been compromised, opened fire on it. As Andor was able to kill many of the troopers with his stolen craft's rotary blasters and missiles, the range trooper, the last Imperial soldier left standing, attempted to destroy the Avenger with a Smart Rocket. However, Andor managed to dip his craft barely out of the way as the trooper fired. As the trooper reloaded, Andor seized the opportunity and used the TIE's heavy laser cannon to partially burn through the hangar's blast door, and disintegrating the trooper who was standing in its path.[1]
Equipment
The range trooper used the standard range trooper vambrace armor and brandished a Smart Rocket.[1]
