- "Years ago, a kaijura was brought to Sinsara as a gift to one of my predecessors."
- ―Gara, to Mace Windu and Aayla Secura
An individual at one point served as monarch of The Banished, a group of thieves and killers based on the planet Sinsara in the Anoat sector[1] of the Outer Rim.[2] At one point, they were gifted a kaijura, a vicious creature[1] from the planet[3] Burantia.[1]
Eventually the individual had been succeeded by the man Gara, who ruled as king of The Banished. Years later,[1] at some point between 40 BBY and 34 BBY,[4] when the Jedi Knights Mace Windu and Aayla Secura visited Sinsara in search of an antidote for their poisoned colleague Qui-Gon Jinn. Gara then led the Jedi to where the creature was based, informing them it had been brought to the world as a gift to the predecessor and had since grew to maturity, and was now killing the king's people. The king then proposed that in exchange for them providing the Jedi with the antidote, they kill the kaijura. After Secura and Windu successfully killed the creature, the king provided them with the antidote.[1]
