"We have a phase connector, but it's in the back room and has already been sold to a mining colony on Valashar."
―Kazuda Xiono to Teroj Kee, while in the Office of Aquisitions — 20?cb=20250116042720 ▶️ (file info)[1]

A mining colony operated on the Mid Rim celestial body Valashar by 34 ABY. By that year, the colony ordered a phase connector mining device from the Office of Acquisitions on the supertanker fuel depot Colossus, though it was ultimately destroyed before being delivered.

Description

A mining colony was located on Valashar, an astronomical object[1] in the Mid Rim Territories' Churnis sector.[2]

History

At some point by 34 ABY,[3] the mining colony opted to place an order with the Office of Acquisitions establishment on[1] the planet[4] Castilon's supertanker fuel depot Colossus for a phase connector, a rare and expensive mining device used for drilling and excavation. The store's proprietors, the Gozzo Flix and the Chadra-Fan Orka, logged the Valashar colony's phase connector purchase in their stock database and kept the device for them in their establishment's back storeroom.[1]

In 34 ABY,[3] the mechanic Kazuda Xiono briefly worked at the Office of Acquisitions in the absence of its owners. Xiono told the First Order operative Teroj Kee that he could not sell him a phase connector, as the one they had in stock had already been sold to the mining colony. When Kee attempted to forcefully take the mining device from the store, Xiono destroyed the phase connector to prevent him from escaping offworld with the merchandise. Xiono later informed Flix and Orka of the loss of merchandise intended for the colony.[1]

Behind the scenes

Valashar's mining colony was mentioned in "Dangerous Business,"[1] the thirteenth episode of the first season of the Star Wars Resistance animated television series.[5] The episode premiered on January 20, 2019.[6]
