"Watch me. All I need is one shot."
―The human Nihil, to their companion[1]

A human individual was a member of the Nihil marauders and was stationed at a base on the moon Astenban in 228 BBY. After complaining there was nothing to eat on Astenban, the Nihil spotted the Banchiian Shosho, who was performing reconnaissance on the moon. The Nihil, along with another Nihil, shot at and pursued Shosho, but he escaped after the Force-sensitive creature Zimtok diverted their attention.

"The noise came from this way."

A human individual served as a member of a Storm within the Nihil marauder organization.[1] In 228 BBY,[2] they were stationed at a base on the moon Astenban that the Nihil had recently occupied. Outside the base, the Nihil complained to another Nihil that there was nothing there to eat. Their companion replied that they were too bad of a shot to hit anything anyway, though the human Nihil disagreed, claiming they would only need one shot. The human Nihil then noticed the Banchiian Shosho, who had tripped while performing reconnaissance as part of a mission to deny the base to the Nihil. The two Nihil shot at Shosho with their blasters and pursued him. The human Nihil heard a noise and informed their companion of the direction they had heard it coming from, then again shot at Shosho. As they chased the Banchiian, the Force-sensitive creature Zimtok made a noise to divert the Nihil's attention, and the two Nihil ran away, believing they were still in pursuit of Shosho.[1]

Personality and traits

The human Nihil had light skin and a tattoo of the Eye of the Nihil insignia on their arm.[1]

Skills and abilities

"Is there anything to eat on this moon?"
"Even if there were, you're such a bad shot that you won't be able to kill it."
―The human Nihil and their companion[1]

The Nihil was confident in their blaster skills, although their companion disagreed, and they were unable to hit Shosho with their blaster fire.[1]

Equipment

The Nihil used a blaster. They wore a vest, dark goggles, a covering over their mouth, and a hood with an Eye of the Nihil insignia on it. They also had wraps around their hands and wore kneepads over their pants.[1]

  2. Star Wars: Timelines dates Starlight Beacon's destruction to 230 BBY. The implementation of the Guardian Protocols, which Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia places in 229 BBY, took place one week after Starlight Beacon's fall according to The High Republic – Shadows of Starlight 1. As The High Republic Adventures (2023) 4 takes place one year and two weeks after the destruction of Starlight Beacon, it must be set in 228 BBY. Since the events of The High Republic Adventures (2023) 6 are set immediately following the fourth issue and depict the expansion of the Stormwall, the expansion must have taken place in the same year. Meanwhile, the events of "Tales from the Occlusion Zone: No Big Deal" include the Stormwall's expansion and also depict the start of Pikka Adren's pregnancy. A later story, "Tales from the Occlusion Zone: Sparks Fly," states that Adren is eight months pregnant during its events, indicating that it is set eight months after "No Big Deal," and therefore one year, eight months, and two weeks after the fall of Starlight Beacon. "Sparks Fly" is set during the Battle of Eriadu, an event that begins in The High Republic Adventures Phase III - The Wedding Spectacular. As StarWars.com Star Wars: The High Republic Chronological Reader's Guide on StarWars.com (article) (backup link) places The High Republic: The Edge of Balance, Vol. 3 between the events of "No Big Deal" and The Wedding Spectacular, its events must also be set in 228 BBY.
