A comm officer served the royal fleet of the Pijali monarchy on the Inner Rim planet Pijal during the Republic Era. They worked alongside several other crew members, including a security chief, under a captain who commanded a Corellian corvette.^[1]

In 40 BBY,^[2] following the Pijali Queen Fanry's coronation, the comm officer followed their captain in betraying their monarch by supporting the world's former regent, the Jedi Rael Averross. The officer helped transport Averross and his companions—Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi—aboard their commanding captain's cruiser and toward the queen's flagship, the Righteous. At Jinn's directive, the comm officer signaled the Righteous requesting a hologram call, which they accepted. Not long after, Fanry surrendered aboard her flagship when held at blaster-point by her former attendant, Cady.^[1]
