"The cruel ones came for greed but left unity behind. Word spread quickly. Soon, neighbours of all sorts gathered to meet, to share stories and to build the forest of the future—together."
―Wicket Wystri Warrick[1]

A species with brown skin, a tail ending in a heart-shaped tip, and four limbs ending in three digits each could be found on the forest moon Endor. The species also had a long snout with red markings around their mouth at the tip and a large dark-brown protrusion on each side of their head.[1]

Shortly after the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY, word spread across Endor that members of the Bright Tree tribe of Ewoks, including the Ewok Wicket Wystri Warrick, and their Yuzzum neighbours had seen off a group of Imperials who had returned to Endor seeking an Imperial weapons cache. This resulted in many of the tribe's neighbours visiting Bright Tree Village to meet the Ewoks and share stories with them while working together to decide the forest's future. At least one member of the brown-skinned species attended, wearing a golden crown, large hoop earrings, and three gold necklaces. They stood in the village with the Ewok Princess Kneesaa a Jari Kintaka and a Wokling, both of who were taller than the crowned individual.[1]

A Mudgub in Star Wars Legends.

In the current Star Wars canon, the species appeared in the fourth issue of the Star Wars: Ewoks comic book series, which was written by Steve Orlando, illustrated by Laura Braga and Álvaro López,[1] and published on January 29, 2025.[2]

The species originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where they were named Mudgubs and appeared in "Princess Latara,"[3] the fourth episode of the second season of the Ewoks animated series, which first aired on September 20, 1986.[4] The appearance of the individual in the Ewoks comic[1] matches that of the Mudgub princess who appeared in "Princess Latara."[3]
