Unidentified Junk Maven 1

The title of this article is conjectural. Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

A Junk Maven resided on the junk moon of Quantxi during the High Republic Era. When the Nihil marauder organization stationed some of their number on Quantxi as part of a plan to lure the Jedi Order into a trap, the Junk Maven and a companion approached them. The Junk Maven addressed Marchion Ro, the Nihil leader, though was truly intending to distract the marauders, allowing the other being to escape to a communications tower and send a distress signal.

Biography

During the time of the High Republic Era, the individual resided on Quantxi, the Junk Moon of Ord Mantell, as a member of the Junk Mavens. Intending to draw the Jedi Order into a trap, members of the Nihil marauder organization, including its leader, Marchion Ro, stationed themselves on Quantxi while sending a diversionary force to attack the Jedi. Along with a female comrade, the Junk Maven approached the Nihil, calling for their attention.^[1]

Ro demanded to know what the Junk Maven wanted, and the being insisted that they wished to take no part in the Nihil's galactic conflict. The Junk Maven was distracting the Nihil, however, allowing the individual's companion to escape and make for a nearby communications tower. When the Nihil noticed the other Junk Maven's movement, Ro became aware that it was a diversion, sending the young recruit Krix Kamerat to chase her down. The Junk Maven's companion was able to eventually reach the tower, sending a distress signal that alerted the Jedi to activity on Quantxi.^[1]

Personality and traits

A being of an avian species that possessed a beak and clawed feet, the Junk Maven had dark gray hair and skin. The Junk Maven claimed to not want any involvement in galactic affairs, but in doing so distracted the Nihil so that a comrade could send a signal to the Jedi. When Ro addressed the Junk Mavens as "Trash Keepers," the individual took offense, insisting that they were humble Junk Mavens. The Junk Maven spoke with a buzzing voice.^[1]

Equipment

The Junk Maven wore a brown hooded garment and pants while on Quantxi. The individual also wore a pair of brown goggles and carried a pack and various other items.^[1]

The Junk Maven first appeared, though was not named, in the comic The High Republic Adventures (2021) 4, written by Daniel José Older, illustrated by Harvey Tolibao, and published by IDW Publishing^[1] on May 5, 2021.^[2]
