"I desire to face a Jedi with lightsaber in hand once more!"
"Surely you jest, Lord Vader. A swift defeat such as this is something that the Empire can be proud of… [choking]"
―Darth Vader and the officer, with the latter interrupted by Vader's Force choke[1]

A Human Imperial officer accompanied the Sith Lord Darth Vader on the planet Vatleria after the establishment of an Imperial base within the stone ruins there.[1] Prior to 0 BBY,[2] Vader defeated the Alliance operatives known as the Rebel Four when they assaulted the Imperial base. Afterward, Vader sighed to the officer about the ease of his victory and expressed his desire to face a Jedi in lightsaber combat. The officer expressed surprise at Vader's claim and asserted that he should have been proud of securing a victory for the Empire. This displeased Vader, who used the Force to choke the officer.[1]

The officer had light skin, graying hair, and wore an Imperial officer's uniform.[1]

Behind the scenes

The officer appeared in "The Rebel Four," a comic written and illustrated by Jay Stephens and published in the ninth issue of the anthology series Star Wars Tales[1] by Dark Horse Comics on October 10, 2001.[3]
