An Imperial naval inspector had allegedly died[2] in 5 BBY.[1] Dee Shambo and Nisus Osar, members of the Ministry of Enlightenment, used the death as part of an Anti-Ghorman whispering campaign to turn galactic opinion against the Ghorman people. During a secret Imperial meeting at the Maltheen Divide, Shambo and Osar revealed their usage of the naval inspector's death to imperial officials present a the meeting as part of the planned Imperial suppression of the planet Ghorman.[2]

The naval inspector was first mentioned in the first episode of the second season of the Disney+ live-action series Star Wars: Andor, which was released on Disney+[2] on April 22, 2025.[3]
