The Tydane system was located in the Bryx sector of the Mid Rim[1] and the Slice.[2] It was situated in grid square R-7 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]
The Tydane system was the home system of Horn Ambigene, a general who served within the Confederacy of Independent Systems' droid army at the time of the Clone Wars against the Galactic Republic. For decades prior to aligning with the Confederacy, Ambigene headed a militia against the Republic in the Tydane system.[3]

The Tydane system was first mentioned in Rise of the Separatists, a 2019 supplement to Fantasy Flight Games' series of Star Wars Roleplaying products.[3]
