The Turco Prime system was located in the Sarka sector[1] within the Slice portion[2] of the Mid Rim Territories. Situated in the grid square Q-8 on the Standard Galactic Grid,[1] it contained Turco Prime, the site of a shipyard of the Galactic Empire that the New Republic fought to control[3] in 5 ABY.[4]
Behind the scenes
The Turco Prime system was introduced on a galaxy map[5] created for the reference book Star Wars: Timelines and first released as a promotional poster at Celebration Anaheim[6] on May 27, 2022[7] before the book's debut, during Celebration Europe[8] on April 7-10 of 2023.[9] The system was later identified in the appendix "Star Systems of the Galaxy," published on StarWars.com with the Star Wars Galaxy Map article[1]—both works being authored by Jason Fry and released on on June 24, 2025.[10]
