A turbine generator was a massive power generator. Alongside banks of capacitors, the turbine generator built up and stored the energy necessary to power and fire a turbolaser.[1] At least two powered each individual turbolaser tower aboard the first Death Star.[3] Turbine generators were also used to power ship-based ion cannons such as the Borstel NK-7 ion cannon.[2]
