- "A big part of their Life Day celebration is a spiritual passage to the Life Tree... Where Wookiee culture began!"
- ―Han Solo
The Tree of Life was a giant tree on Kashyyyk that held significant cultural importance to the planet's Wookiee inhabitants. According to their legend, the Life Tree was the place from which all life on Kashyyyk including Wookiees began and the source that created the dense jungle ecosystem.
On Life Day, Wookiees gathered at the base of the tree to celebrate. They consumed orga roots to help their spirits locate the tree.
