TranLang III communications module

The TranLang III communications module was a droid communication module incorporating up to six million galactic languages in its memory discs.^[2] The units were installed in 3PO-series and LOM-series protocol droids.^[3]

As well as common languages, the module's database included obscure dialects, trade languages, security codes, and droid transmissions. In addition, the TranLang III's phonetic pattern analysers made it capable of learning and translating unknown languages.^[3]
