A tractor field was generated by a Grab-Field Generator. The field scooped up ions from the space around a starfighter, channelling them into the solar gather-panels, where they were collected and transferred to the Microparticle Ion Accelerator.[1] Texture-molding tractor fields were used in the construction of molecularly bonded armor.[2]
