Texture-molding tractor fields were used in the creation of molecularly bonded armor. The tractor fields held dense metals in place, then the metal was softened and liquified by ion fusers. As the resulting alloy cooled, it was bombarded by charged-particle vibrating waves which strengthened its molecular subatomic bond strength.[1]
