"Torbin, Jedi Padawan…Son of paupers from the planet Bonadan."
―Mother Aniseya, to Torbin[1]

At least two paupers from the planet Bonadan were the parents of the Force-sensitive human Torbin,[1] who was born around 173 BBY. Around 170 BBY,[2] when Torbin was three years old, Torbin's parents gave him to the Jedi Order after he was identified as having Force potential by a Jedi seeker.[3] In 148 BBY,[4] while Torbin—by then a Jedi Padawan—was on a mission to the planet Brendok, the witch Mother Aniseya used a Thread ability to make him see a vision of himself alone in the courtyard in which he was standing. While he was experiencing the vision, Aniseya spoke to Torbin and mentioned his parents.[1]

Behind the scenes

Torbin's parents were first mentioned in a vision in "Choice,"[1] the seventh episode of the live-action Disney+ series Star Wars: The Acolyte, which aired on July 9, 2024.[5]

  2. Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide establishes that Torbin was forty-one years old at the time of the events of Star Wars: The Acolyte, which occur in 132 BBY per the reasoning here. Therefore, he must have been born around 173 BBY. It also establishes Torbin was given to the Jedi Order when he was three years old, equating to around 170 BBY.

Therefore, The Acolyte takes place in 132 BBY. "Revenge / Justice" establishes that Torbin was stationed on Brendok sixteen years before its events, equating to 148 BBY.
