In 382 BBY, the Rod of Seasons was stolen from the Hynestian Royal Treasury on Hynestia Prime. The Force artifact was taken by the Children, a team within the Path of the Open Hand cult tasked with "liberating" such objects by the Mother, the cult's leader. In the aftermath, the queen of Hynestia appealed to the Jedi Order for the retrieval of the artifact, and Jedi Master Zallah Macri and her Padawan, Kevmo Zink, were assigned to investigate the theft.[1]
