Theelin was the native language of the Theelin communications engineer Amos Tillian.[1] In 382 BBY,[2] Tillian muttered a curse in Theelin while examining the damaged EX droid EX-8C on board a shuttle used by his communications team in the Galactic Frontier.[1]

Theelin appeared in the 2022 middle grade novel The High Republic: Quest for the Hidden City, written by George Mann and published as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase II.[3]
