"The Spira Regatta" is an adventure for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game written by Paul Sudlow with illustrations by Doug Shuler. It was originally published in Star Wars Adventure Journal 1 in February 1994 and later reprinted in The Best of the Star Wars Adventure Journal, Issues 1-4, both by West End Games.
Plot summary
Imperial activity has significantly increased in the Lytton sector, and supplies have become scarce. A group of operatives from the Rebel Alliance arrives to recover a shipment of medical and military supplies that has been dumped into the deep sea of the planet Spira, near the wreckage of an ancient alien ship.
Posing as wealthy tourists, the Rebel agents meet their contact, Seth Cambriel. He informs them that the drop site is temporarily inaccessible due to the path of the annual yacht race, the Spira Regatta Open. The agents' plan is to join the race, gain access to the drop zone, and smuggle the supplies into the storage tank of a Camray eel, a highly coveted but smelly trophy for upper class game hunters, all while avoiding the notice of noble Regenald Snopps and his Imperial escort.
