The Quintarad was a celestial body located in Wild Space in grid square H-18 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Quintarad was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Jason Fry.[2]
In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the star system known as the Quintarad was originally meant to be mentioned in the 2012 reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare by Fry and Paul R. Urquhart; however, the sidebar that would have mentioned the system was cut before the book's release. The information regarding the Quintarad was later released in 2013 as part of Star Wars: The Essential Guide to Warfare Author's Cut, a series of articles published on the StarWars.com Blog by Fry and Del Rey editor Erich Schoeneweiss containing various cut content from The Essential Guide to Warfare.[3]
