The High Republic Adventures 10 is the tenth issue of the canon comic book series Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures. It was written by Daniel José Older, illustrated by Toni Bruno, and published by IDW Publishing on November 17, 2021.

BACK TOGETHER AND AWAY AGAIN III 
Chaos on Takodana! After the Nihil have attacked the

Plot summary

In the past, Jedi Master Sav Malagán plays games of telekinesis with a young Qort. She asks if he would like to try it without his skull helmet, and receives no response. As Maz Kanata arrives and tells Malagán that Yoda has arrived, Malagán tells Qort that only he will know when he's ready to remove the helmet. Malagán thanks Yoda for coming and says goodbye to Qort; she tells him that she asked Yoda to let him keep the skull on, and that he should not let anyone make fun of him for it but also should not dismember anyone who does. She reminds him again that he will know when he's ready. They embrace, and Qort leaves with Yoda.

In the present, the group recover from the explosion caused by Sabata Krill. Qort finds that his skull helmet has broken, and holds the pieces over his face as the Nihil approaches. He recalls Malagán's words and discards the broken skull; as he does so, he pulls his lightsaber to him with the Force and says in Galactic Basic Standard that he is ready.

Qort hijacks one of the Nihil's starfighters and uses it to destroy one of the other ships. When it is destroyed, he jumps to another ship and tosses one of the Nihil pilots into the lake. As they watch him destroy the Nihil forces, Malagán remarks that he takes after the weird Force-sensitive old lady who found him; when Kanata asks which one she means, Malagán answers both.

They are contacted by Bims, who asks if they are alright; Kanata says they are, and asks about the situation at her castle. Bims says the Nihil are retreating, and offers to send them reinforcements; Kanata, watching Qort destroy another Nihil ship, says they have the Nihil handled but asks him to send medic units and recovery droids, which he says he will.

Malagán waves off Kanata's concern about the temple's relics and tells her they are gone. Kanata asks if Malagán is even upset about her temple's destruction, and notes that she herself is somewhat upset despite rarely visiting. Malagán tells her that the temple was difficult to heat, cobwebby, and generally a mess, and says that if they capture Krill she should thank her. Kanata complains that Jedi are maddening, and Malagán asks if she can stay at the castle for a bit.

After destroying the Nihil ships, Qort returns to the temple and his friends, who are shocked to see him without the skull mask. He greets them in Basic for the first time, and they hug him.

Elsewhere, Krix Kamerat admits Krill for an audience, and tells her she has a lot of nerve attempting to return; she interrupts him and says that she was doing what his warriors could not. Kamerat asks if it was always her plan to pretend to defect alongside her sister and sabotage the temple; Krill confirms it was, and notes she's disappointed she could not destroy her sister with the temple. Kamerat says there will be time for that later, and says that together, he and Krill shall destroy the Republic and the Jedi.
