The Datapad piece hanging from a handlebar

The Datapad was a special boon game piece resembling a datapad used in the Canto Pass game. It was not worth any points, but doubled the score of the next boon collected.[1] By 3 ABY,[2] an individual named Saya had stashed a Datapad piece in a building in the town Jaunta's Hope on the Outer Rim moon Toshara.[1]

In 3 ABY,[2] the thief Kay Vess installed a replacement motivation actuator in an R5 series astromech that was rendered unable to move after thieves stole its previous actuator. Afterwards, the astromech proceeded inside Saya's home, allowing Vess to follow, where she stole the stashed Datapad piece.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Datapad Canto Pass piece appeared in the 2024 video game Star Wars Outlaws developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. It is one of several Canto Pass pieces that could be collected in the game and used as trinkets to customize the appearance of the player's S57 Cardinal speeder bike and the interior of the Trailblazer, the player's EML-850 light freighter.[1]
