The Thannt system was located in the Ryndellian sector of the Mid Rim Territories[1] and the Trailing Sectors.[2] Situated in grid square O-17 of the Standard Galactic Grid,[1] it contained the terrestrial astronomical object Thannt, the site of a biofarm. The fugitive Doctor Cornelius Evazan stole a bioengineered creature known as a pluripleq from the biofarm[3] between 0 BBY and around 1 ABY.[4]

Behind the scenes

The Thannt system was mentioned in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix released alongside the Star Wars Galaxy Map[1]—both works having been written by Jason Fry and published on StarWars.com on June 24, 2025.[5]

  4. Doctor Aphra (2016) 22 establishes that Cornelius Evazan's infiltration of the biofarm on Thannt took place after his scuffle on Tatooine that is depicted in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. Star Wars: Timelines dates the events of Doctor Aphra (2016) 22 to around 1 ABY and the relevant events of A New Hope to what Star Wars: Galactic Atlas identifies as 0 BBY. Therefore, Evazan's infiltration must have occurred between 0 BBY and around 1 ABY.
