"I know he escaped Jedha. I know he was in a scuffle on Tatooine. I know he infiltrated a biofarm on Thannt."
―Tam Posla, on Cornelius Evazan[1]

A biofarm was a type of scientific facility. One such facility was located on the astronomical object Thannt,[1] where at least one pluripleq, a rare bioengineered shape-shifting creature, was kept.[2] Sometime between 0 BBY and around 1 ABY,[3] the notorious doctor and smuggler[4] Cornelius Evazan infiltrated the biofarm on Thannt,[1] stealing a pluripleq, which he used to disguise himself as a shapeshifter named "Lopset Yas" to avoid his death sentences.[2]

Eventually, the bounty hunter Tam Posla, who was hunting Evazan, learned about the infiltration of the biofarm, and, on the 421st day of his hunt, recounted it among the events he knew Evazan had been involved in. He added that Evazan's trail had been cold for a month some time after the infiltration.[1]

Behind the scenes

The biofarm was first mentioned in the twenty-second issue of the 2016 comic series Star Wars: Doctor Aphra. The issue was written by Simon Spurrier and published by Marvel Comics[1] on July 25, 2018.[5]
