Biography

Thakira Tatara and her sister Kiraya Tatara, both humanoid females, both worked as spiritual horticulturists on the planet Olega during the High Republic Era. Thakira focused on nutritive plants, while Kiraya concentrated on medicinal growing in her greenhouse. The two sisters traveled from the Southern Isles to Olega City, capital of Olega, where they sold exotic seeds and sprigs as street vendors while Kiraya also supplied balms and oils to local apothecaries and healing houses.[1]

In 132 BBY,[2] Thakira and Kiraya walked together past the Olega Apothecary in the streets of Olega City as the Sith assassin entered the apothecary to meet her ally Qimir inside. The two sisters were then stood outside the apothecary at a stall with several other customers when Qimir later returned to the building,. Later that night, the two horticulturists sat drinking from bottles together under an awning near the apothecary[3] as other merchants packed up their stalls for the night[4] in the streets around them.[3]

Personality and traits

Thakira had ginger hair and light skin with a band of green around her eyes.[1]

Equipment

Thakira and Kiraya wore matching outfits while in Olega City. These included a blue dress, a black-patterned brown shirt, a green jacket, and a matching green hood. Both sisters carried brown handloomed seed satchels.[1]

Thakira Tatara appeared in "Revenge / Justice,"[3] the second episode of the live-action Disney+ series Star Wars: The Acolyte, which aired on June 4, 2024.[5] The character was not identified in the episode[3] but was named in the 2025 reference book Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1]
