- "One of the former technicians at the Stonewall Labs, Tanoa Vills, can make the sequencer for you. She's highly skilled and knows as much as anyone about the security measures built into the droids in the Labs."
- ―Professor Zanier Hudmasse, to a spacer
Tanoa Vills was a Human female who lived in the city of Dee'ja Peak on the planet Naboo, at the time of the Galactic Civil War.
Biography
- "My my, Tanoa still does quite good work."
- ―Professor Zanier Hudmasse, to a spacer
Tanoa Vills was a technician of Stonewall Labs until the company was closed by the time of the Battle of Yavin.[1] In 1 ABY,[3] she met a spacer who was trying to acquire an Old Republic droid module from Stonewall Labs. She agreed to build a sequencer that could be used in a Stonewall Labs security beacon for Professor Zanier Hudmasse. She tasked the spacer with finding three components: an XJ5 circuit board, some fractal transmitters, and some octave regulators. The spacer first acquired an XJ5 circuit board from Mummer scientists in the Mummer Cave. The spacer found fractal transmitters in old data terminals in the Dee'ja Peak junkyard. The spacer finally got octave regulators from Skaak Tipper machinists in the Skaak Tipper Cave.[4]
Tanoa Vills later asked the spacer to investigate a shuttle that had just crashed in the Gallo Mountains. She needed the spacer to eliminate rabid narglatches, including Grizzlefur, that gathered at the crash site in order to salvage research equipment.[5] However, the Darkwalkers plundered the crash site before.[6] Vills thus asked the spacer to raid the Darkwalker Cave nearby to recover a stolen bio-scanner. When the spacer returned to her, Tanoa Vills gave the completed sequencer requested by Professor Hudmasse to the spacer.[2]

- ↑ The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
