The Tangrada-Nii system was a star system located in the Core Worlds. It was located in grid square K-13 on the Standard Galactic Grid[1] and was the origin point of[2] the Tangrada-Nii culture.[3]
Behind the scenes
The Tangrada-Nii system was first mentioned in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published alongside the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[4]
While Alphabet Squadron states that the Tangrada-Nii culture worshipped the nearby Oridol Cluster,[3] the appendix placed the Oridol Cluster in the Outer Rim Territories in grid square P-7, on the other side of the Deep Core from the Tangrada-Nii system.[1]

(backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas and a number of maps in the current Star Wars canon (see a list here), stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for Tangrada-Nii in relation to Tangrada-Nii system.
