The Force?

Same thing I said on Forum:Logray and Stagorr's powers: her databank article says "Charal had the magical ability to change form, thanks to a special ring that she wore. Charal used her power to turn into a raven." It would appear that Shapeshifting is due to the magic ring, not the Force. That would mean that this isn't a real Force power. -LtNOWIS 20:35, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

  • Agree, I propose that this be moved to Charal's magic ring or something to that effect. Since it's due to the power of the ring and not her own Force-sensitivity. However, I wouldn't be opposed to putting that article in the Force-sensitive objects category. Cull Tremayne 20:41, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
  • I concur. Anything to alleviate the notion of a Force shapeshift power. DarthMRN 20:58, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

Fanon

This is a subject of some fanon speculation I've engaged in, but it obviously does not belong here (either the article OR the talk page). My question: IS there a place within wookieepedia for fanon? Someplace I can contribute that kind of stuff? Or should I stick to other forums? Medleystudios72 20:58, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

Talisman of the Raven

The Book of Sith: Secrets from the Dark Side (real-life book) states "One of our sisters has yet to return the Talisman of the Raven". As Jinzler mentioned in another talk page, this seems to be a reference to Charal. But would this be enough to move "Charal's magic ring" to "Talisman of the Raven" ? Other abilities

In her original appearance in Ewoks: Battle For Endor, her source of power seems to be exclusively her ring. Her databank entry also seems to imply it was her ring responsible for its other uses in the film as well, such as her being able to turn into an angelic young woman and turn her black stallion into a white steed. And well, it is very obvious simply by the film that Terak was turned into a statue similar to those of the unfortunate victims of Pompeii by the ring. I'll put a quote from the section of her databank here, as it can be seen as one of her powers as a Force-Sensitive or done by her ring depending on how you read it. However, it is in a section specifically referring to her ring.

Charal had the magical ability to change form, thanks to a special ring that she wore. Charal used her power to turn into a raven. She could also alter her appearance, and the appearance of her horse. When she failed Terak one last time, the king seized the ring. Because Terak died before returning the ring, Charal may be locked in her animal form.
