Marvel Ewoks is C-canon right? Has any attempt to explain the Force powers Logray and Stagorr manages to cast in Ewoks 6: The Ice Demon been made? They are using Lightning, Cryokinesis, Thermokinesis, Telekinesis, Force Travel, Dominate Mind and even summons elemental guardians. If these comics have been made canon, surely some attempt at explaining these brand new powers have been made. I thought the Ewoks were primitive Force users, but Logray seems like he could have stood against a Sith Lord. DarthMRN 11:07, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
- It's magic. -LtNOWIS 17:02, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
- You had to say that. Now my head, with it's neat understanding of the Force, the Universe and Everything, is going to explode. Nice going.
Please tell me you can't prove that. DarthMRN 18:21, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
- FWIW, the databank entry for the Nightsister Charal retcons her abilities to turn herself into animals, etc. as Force powers. Adamwankenobi 18:32, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
- Also, the Essential Guide to Characters says that Ewoks are sensitive to the Force. -- Ozzel 18:39, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
- Force shapeshifing?! O-M-G!! Are they trying to kill me?! Okay, her artcle said she could turn into a raven. Anything else I should add to the neat-o Force Shapeshift article? DarthMRN 18:53, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
- Um, her databank article says "Charal had the magical ability to change form, thanks to a special ring that she wore. Charal used her power to turn into a raven." It would appear that Shapeshifting is due to the magic ring, not the Force. -LtNOWIS 20:33, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
- Right, so that article should probably be merged with Charal's magic ring. Coincidentally, the Totem Master from the Ewoks television show shouldn't be classified as being able to use the Force to change living things into wood. It's just the powerful magic of the "device" which may or may not be a Force-sensitive object. Cull Tremayne 20:37, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
- That does cushion the impact of this horrible, horrible blow below the belt. Force items have a bit more leeway when it comes to abilities, even though this one stretches credibility pretty far. "Magic. Huh! And Ewoks. Huh! Star Wars craves not these things." DarthMRN 21:04, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
- What'cha got against the concept of force shapeshifting, DarthMRN? Star Wars is fantasy, is it not? ;) Adamwankenobi 03:56, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
- I guess, but thing I like about the Force is that there is an obvious limit to what can be accomplished with it, unlike traditional fantasy magic. At least there was, once. The EU is slowly eating its way into the realm of D&D with its ever growing list of things that can be accomplished through the Force. Some people think midi-chlorians robbed the Force of its mystery. I think new powers that aren't variations of old ones does. DarthMRN 10:14, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
