- Anyone else think this quote is total bs? It is totally irrelevant and serves no purpose in enhancing the article...plus the fact that it isn't even true. Looks more like a centipede to me and if anyone thinks that it looks like said member than perhaps they should seek medical attention. —Unsigned comment by Pabr Oebris (talk • contribs)
- just googled it...quote doesn't even exist. total spam! —Unsigned comment by Jibby (talk • contribs)
Updated reference to stop the edit war that seems to be occurring but I do tend to agree with Pabr. This fact does seem rather pointless. Jartka'irn 11:21, October 30, 2009 (UTC)
- don't matter! "Adding nonsense, obscenities, or bad jokes to existing articles" is considered vandalism by as outlined in wookieepedia policy. how this made it thru GAN i have no idea. quote has to gooooooooo! —Unsigned comment by porkjibblets (talk • contribs)
- I'm protecting this article for one week, and putting the quote back. However, I'm not sure that the quote and the associated discussion is really needed. If we had proof that the artists deliberately played up the phallic symbolism, we could mention that, but beyond that it's just fan opinion based on subjective resemblances. That sort of thing gets removed from most articles. —Silly Dan (talk) 12:16, October 30, 2009 (UTC)
- Can't we determine it in a civilized way, like per a vote on this very talk page? MauserComlink 12:57, October 30, 2009 (UTC)
- If it is to stay, a picture where the resemblance is more obvious (e.g. the cover of the issue in question) should probably be added. jSarek 14:22, October 30, 2009 (UTC)
- I don't get it. Is encyclopedic knowledge supposed to be democratic? I understand Wikipedia has had these kind of discussions, and there must be some precedent there when public figures use rude words. IMHO, if we start considering the mass opinion of canon, Yoda's species will redirect to Whill in no time.
Not only that: This article has already been revised and checked by several users, including two AgriCorps members, in November 2008, and it was decided it already "adheres to quality standards" (as per the description of a Good article).
It's not the quote, it's not even the fact that there's a vote in a talk page, it's that I think Wookieepedia is introducing a really bad precedent by using a new vote to modify information that Wookieepedia has already validated as appropriate, which is a contradiction in itself, not to speak that I cannot consider this to be the best way to solve the conflict of opinions. --Skippy Farlstendoiro 08:12, November 2, 2009 (UTC)

Keep
- Part of being encyclopedic means being grown up enough to not be afraid of crap like this. Penises are a fact of life. If a tosser can look like a rancor, then this
looks like naughty-bits. It's a completely valid observation, and it was made by a noteworthy fan. The article has already gone through the ringer. There are better things to waste your energy on.SinisterSamurai 07:29, January 2, 2010 (UTC) - I agree with Sinister. Grow up. OLIOSTER (talk)

- Wookieepedia is not censored. We will not tolerate any childish efforts to make it so. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 14:55, January 2, 2010 (UTC)
- Per above. I have no idea why we're even bothering to have a vote on this. Grand Moff Tranner

- Bizarre as it sounds, but can you actually name a Star Wars source in which a penis has featured? You probably can't, because there aren't any we know of. That's why we don't have an article for it. Also, equally as strange-sounding, Humans in Star Wars may not be exactly the same as those in the real world. Using breast as an example, when did you last see a tree with breasts? —NAYAYEN 01:40, February 8, 2012 (UTC)
- When was the last time you saw a shapeshifter that couldn't make breasts? Also, this seems to indicate something. Te-Voro 15:14, February 16, 2012 (UTC)
