During the Clone Wars, a Munificent-class star frigate served within the naval forces of the Confederacy of Independent Systems and was commanded by the T-series military strategic analysis and tactics droid TF-1726.[1] In 21 BBY,[8] the frigate led a fleet of several other Munificent-class star frigates against the Galactic Republic task force of Jedi General Aayla Secura at the planet Quell. During the fighting, the Munificents managed to destroy all three of Secura's Venator-class Star Destroyers, but the Jedi was able to escape the destruction of her flagship, the Liberty, with the help of fellow Jedi General Anakin Skywalker.[1]

Description

As a Munificent-class star frigate, the frigate was 825 meters in length, 426 meters in width, and 243 meters in height.[3] At its stern,[1] the frigate was propelled by seven ion drive thrusters, and was also equipped with a pair of port and starboard mounted long-range hyperwave transceiver masts.[7] Mounted at the vessel's prow, the Munificent was armed with a pair of heavy turbolaser cannons and a pair of long-range heavy ion cannons,[5] while it also possessed an additional thirty-four twin light turbolaser cannons, seventeen of which were mounted port and seventeen of which were mounted starboard.[6]

Located along its port and starboard hull, the frigate was equipped with ten docking rings, as well as a port side hatch from which its complement of B2-RP super battle droids were deployed in order to board or engage enemy warships. Furthermore, either side of the frigate's hull featured the emblem of the Confederacy of Independent Systems.[1]

Commanders and crew

The Munificent-class star frigate was used as the command ship of the T-series military strategic analysis and tactics droid TF-1726 and his naval squadron. In addition, the frigate was also operated by a crew of B1-series battle droids, who were directed by the tactical droid and informed him of their progress throughout the battle.[1]
