Sylphanie Stil

Sylphanie Stil was a Kessurian who was a member of a Kessurian dance troupe that also included Vanbec Recliva and Charlu Sisi. The Kessurian dance troupe attended the Aki-Aki Festival of the Ancestors during the war between the First Order and the Resistance.[1]

Behind the scenes

Sylphanie Stil was played by Stephanie Silva in the 2019 film Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker,[2] who is listed as "creature and droid puppeteer" in the film's credits.[3] A costume concept for the character was created by Calum Alexander Watt[4] based on concept art that Jake Lunt Davies had done for a potential Kijimi resident in the film.[5] Watt was unaware the characters were meant to be dancers and so drew them armed with rifles.[6]
