Behind the scenes

Charlu Sisi first appeared in the 2019 Star Wars film Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker[2] and was first identified in the reference book Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary.[1] They were portrayed by actress Charlotte Louise, who was also the inspiration for the character's name.[3] A costume concept for the character was created by Calum Alexander Watt[4] based on concept art that Jake Lunt Davies had done for a potential Kijimi resident in the film.[5] Watt was unaware the characters were meant to be dancers and so drew them armed with rifles.[6]
