Sweet buns were a type of bread buns that were consumable by humans. The bread could be made by combining a tin of ration powder with water until formed. While sleeping in the Starlight Beacon space station's quartermaster's office[1] in 230 BBY,[2] Jedi Master Stellan Gios abruptly woke from a dream warning him of hunger and darkness. Suddenly feeling extremely hungry, he made himself a sweet bun from ration powder and water, restraining himself from consuming it like a ravenous gundark creature.[1]

A sweet bun appeared in the 2022 novel The High Republic: The Fallen Star, written by Claudia Gray[1] for the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase I.[3]
