Ration powder was a type of food ingredient consumable by humans. When a tin of the powder mixed with water, it formed into a sweet bun. During the High Republic Era, a tin of the ingredient was kept in the quartermaster's office on the Starlight Beacon space station. After abruptly waking from a dream in the office[1] in 230 BBY,[2] Jedi Master Stellan Gios reflected on his nightmare's warnings of hunger and darkness. He made himself a sweet bun from ration powder and water to sate his sudden feeling of hunger, restraining himself from consuming it like a ravenous gundark creature.[1]

Ration powder appeared in the 2022 novel The High Republic: The Fallen Star, written by Claudia Gray[1] for the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase I.[3]
