The Strabin sector was a sector of the Mid Rim Territories. In grid square M-7 of the Standard Galactic Grid, it contained the Asamin system, the Djurmo system, the Lavisar system, the Oordo system, the Qemia system, the Silla system, the Verossia system, and the Warlentta system. It also contained the Homana system in grid square M-6.[1] The Qemia system contained the moon Qemia 7, where an uprising led to human native Stordan Tonc leaving to join Alliance to Restore the Republic[2] by 1 BBY.[3]

The Silla system contained the planet Silla, a temperate world of grassland villages with at least one moon.[4] Around 18 BBY,[5] a cloned Zillo Beast escaped from a crashed Imperial vessel there, although it was soon recaptured by the Empire.[6] The Warlentta system contained Warlentta, homeworld of human Resistance Commander Larma D'Acy, which refused to join the New Republic.[7]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, the Strabin sector appeared in "Metamorphosis," the eleventh episode of the animated Disney+ series Star Wars: The Bad Batch's second season,[6] which aired on March 1, 2023.[8] The sector was first identified in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[9] The sector originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in Alliance Intelligence Reports, a 1995 supplement for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game published by West End Games.[10] It then appeared in Aaron Allston's 1998 novel X-Wing: Iron Fist.[11]

  5. Per the reasoning here, the seventh and eighth episodes of The Bad Batch Season 2, "The Clone Conspiracy" and "Truth and Consequences," can be placed in 18 BBY. Therefore, all Season 2 episodes proceeding "The Clone Conspiracy" occur between 19 BBY, which features the end of The Bad Batch Season 1 according to Star Wars: Timelines, and 18 BBY. The Galactic Empire, the formation of which Star Wars: Timelines dates to 19 BBY, sent Mayday's squad to Barton IV over a year prior to the events of the twelfth episode, "The Outpost." As it occurs over a year into the Imperial Era and is set shortly after the events of "Truth and Consequences," the events of "The Outpost" occur around 18 BBY. Following that logic, the ninth through eleventh episodes ("The Crossing" through "Metamorphosis") are also set around 18 BBY because they occur between the events of "Truth and Consequences" and "The Outpost." Finally, all season 2 episodes set after "The Outpost" occur shortly after its events, thereby placing those episodes around 18 BBY as well.
