Plot summary

"You're going to need some new guards."
―Jango Fett on Nar Shaddaa[5]

In the Smugglers District, on Nar Shaddaa, bounty hunter Jango Fett approaches two dowutins and takes them down to access the workshop they were guarding. Confronting the Lannik, who is attempting to break into a gambling machine from Canto Bight, Jango is grabbed by a K'lor'slug that the Lannik had liberated from the zoo on Valo. Jango uses his Flamethrower on the creature, which launches him across the room. The Lannik explains that the creature was an acquisition from a mysterious buyer, who was gifting Jabba the Hutt a set of living Dejarik pieces. He also explains that he hadn't fed the creature for a few weeks, as well as attaching a Shock collar. The creature attempts to attack Jango again, but using his Mandalorian Vambrace ties up the creature and hits it with a punch strong enough to knock it out. Jango grabs hold of the Lannik, demanding to know the thief who took the Hope of Glee Anselm, believing that something that valuable wouldn't be moved without him knowing. He denies knowing anything about it because of the Republic Judicials and Jedi looking for the statue. Unable to help the bounty hunter, Jango leaves the workshop, releasing the hungry K'lor'slug from the shock collar to deal with its neglectful owner. Upon exiting the building, Jango Fett is held in the sights of a rifle owner by Aurra Sing. However, someone who also wants to find the Hope of Glee Anselm tells her to hold off on killing the hunter until he leads them to the statue.
