Star Wars Science Adventures: Emergency in Escape Pod Four is a Legends junior novel written by Jude Watson and K.D. Burkett, with interior art by Frank Boyd Forney. It is the first installment of the book series Star Wars Science Adventures, and it was published in February 1999 by Scholastic. A sequel, Star Wars Science Adventures: Journey Across Planet X, was also published.
Emergency in Escape Pod Four is set in the year 0 ABY, and it introduces the young Rebel Stuart Zissu and the research droid 4B-X as they go on an adventure with the droids R2-D2 and C-3PO. The book also includes several activities which demonstrate physics from the story.
