The homeworld of the Squamatan species was a planet^[2] located in the Squamat system in the Mayagil sector of the Outer Rim Territories.^[1] At some point during the reign of Emperor Palpatine, the Galactic Empire seized the planet's abundant thorilide deposits and forced its natives into slavery.^[2]
